Right now we would highlight the THB 6,000 fare on Emirates to Hong Kong and the one ways on Qatar to their European destinations at THB 13500, both of course subject to the extras.

THE EXTRAS

on the 1st October most airlines stuck another few dollars on fares as a fuel surcharge, and it is basically this random action that makes it impossible to publish fares which include all the extras. A basic fare is just that, except some airlines INCLUDE the fuel surcharges in the fare, others do not. This makes it necessary for us to work out all these possible combinations before giving you a final price. As a guideline now you can expect to pay around THB 10,000 on extras for all long haul international flights, and more in business class. These include departure taxes, security charges, fuel surcharges and passenger handling fees.

APIS

Stands for Advance Passenger Information Screening and it is now compulsory for travel agents to put this information in all bookings where passengers are heading for the USA, UK, Canada, Spain, Korea, and probably many more countries quite soon. We will need your date of birth, passport number and expiry date as the basic information, with your first overnight address if you are travelling to the USA.

NEW WEBSITE

We are about to launch a new website, www.boutiquehotelsthailand.com which will feature a range of hotels in the boutique category around Thailand. These will be properties which are not well known in the international market place, and if any of you know or have stayed in really cute little hotels that might be suitable for us to add, please let us know.
